Fugitive Sought on Drug Charges



As a result of an investigation in Geneseo, IL, authorities are seeking any information on the location of Jeffrey Ryan Blunk, a fugitive shown in the picture below. Blunk is described as a white male, 23 years old, 5 ft 7 inches tall, 140 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last known to be living in the Geneseo area, although he was last seen in Milan, IL on July 27, 2013 . He may also have shaved his head to alter his appearance.

On July 25, 2013 a search warrant was executed at 517 East Park St in Geneseo, IL by the Geneseo Police Department, assisted by the Henry County Special Operations Squad, Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Sterling Area Meth Lab Response Team, Black Hawk Task Force and the Geneseo Fire Department. Arrested as a result of that search warrant were Paula Blunk, described as Jeffrey’s mother, and Alexis Wyffels, all on drug charges related to Methamphetamine. Jeffrey Blunk was not present at the time of the search and has eluded efforts to locate him since that time.

A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for Jeffrey Ryan Blunk on charges related to this case, and there are other warrants also on file for him.

Guns Taken in Rural Orion Burglary

Henry County authorities are investigating a burglary reported early in the morning hours of Tuesday July 9, 2013. Two suspects forced entry to a rural Orion building and removed several guns worth several thousand dollars. Both the suspects and their vehicle were captured on security cameras and images are included below.

The suspects drove what appeared to be a mini-van or SUV. Both suspects appeared to be male. One was wearing a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. jacket with the large number “8” on it. The other suspect wore a lighter colored jacket and was possibly wearing glasses. As can be seen in the photos, both suspects obscured their faces.

Any time firearms are taken by criminals it raises the danger to both the public and to law enforcement.
