Armed Robbery at Negley’s

Kewanee Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at around 5:00 AM on Sunday, August 29th, 2010, at the Negley’s Coin Wash, 318 W. 6th St. in Kewanee.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 5’10”, with braided hair, and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot to the west of the business.

A witness reported that the suspect may have exited a car parked at the corner of 6th and Lexington Streets before the robbery. There was no description of the vehicle.
